And then I put the Dreamcast Astropad controller and the Atari 2600 controller together. So I worked on this, connecting the Atari 2600 stick to this D-Pad was almost wire for wire. Eventually I got to looking the D-Pad on this controller and realized that it was just a midget version of the circuit board in the 2600 controller: I was not impressed with this as a controller, but opening it up was a wealth of wires, basic pads, etc.

Only 2 problems, gripping still not big enough, and auto button is a no work. No more fighting the controller to just simply use it. Its a strain just to hold the dam thing and its a game to do so. I agree on the GC controller though: Nintendo managed to come up with something that works very well with a wide range of hand sizes and in that respect it's definitely better than the N64 controller. The Dreamcast Controller is the standard controller for the Dreamcast. The orignal dreamcast controller is for tiny itty bitty baby hands.

It works, but it is pretty low build quality compared to an original controller and they're awkward to hold because of the large rounded shape. Too much heft is definitely NOT my problem as the Xbox Duke is near perfect in terms of ergonomic design. ago I have one of these pads my Mom had got for me with the console when I first got my Dreamcast, it was pretty much only used as a 2nd player controller when playing with friends. The triggers would be fine as they are if it weren't for the bulky expansion port bay bumping into my fingers. The DC controllers would be fien for me, but the grips are a bit too narrow and especially the triggers are considerably too low for the layout.
